Pallavi Joshi, Creative Producer

Pallavi Joshi, national award-winning actress, faced camera at the age of 4 and never looked back.

Right from the early years, Pallavi got to work with the best directors ( Shyam Benegal, Govind Nihalani, Hrishikesh Mukharjee, Amol Palekar, Sudhir Mishra, Subhash Ghai, Nabendu Ghosh…) in some of the most prestigious projects (Susman, Suraj Ka Satvaan Ghoda, Woh Chokri, The Making of the Mahatma). 

The TV found one of the finest actors in Pallavi (Mrignayani, Kab Tak Pukaroon, Ek Kahani, Discovery of India, Alpaviram). In between shots, Pallavi, unlike other actors, didn't sit in her makeup room.  Instead she chose to be on the sets, observing and leaning the fundamental tasks of production.  "It was a school where I was taught by the best professionals India has produced... learning cinema as a craft was the result."

Pallavi has single-handedly written and produced Aarohan for Doordarshan, the only TV drama shot on an Indian naval base and aboard the INS aircraft carrier Vikrant..  She has been a producer on Neha and Sikander – huge thrillers. Pallavi is a great motivator and has a unique eye for minutest details.

Pallavi is involved with the screening of ideas and converting them into creatively feasible ideas, and her strength lies in converting the most complex problems and ideas into the simplest ones  

"My formula is simple," Pallavi says.  "KISS... Keep it simple, stupid!  If my daughter can't understand an idea, it's not worth it."
