Vivek Agnihotri is one of the hottest minds in the Indian entertainment industry.  Vivek is a communications graduate from India Institute of Mass Communication. After then studying business at Harvard University, he served with leading advertising agencies such as O&M and McCann.  He followed this by creating his own communications consulting firm, OffBeat, in Delhi (rated as one of the 10 fastest growing agencies by Business Today magazine).

One fine morning, he decided to move to Bombay to make ad films. Since then, Vivek has made several commercials for brands like Vicks, Levelor, Proctor and Gamble, Godrej etc. His social service film on AIDS won him A&M and Ad Club Gold awards.

Vivek started with television by developing the hit Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum for Zee TV. YKAGH, with an ensemble of top stars, set new standards in TV production. This followed with the stylish Saturday Suspense, X-Zone, Rishtey and the mini-series Neha – a one of a kind thriller. He is credited with over two dozen stories ranging from romance to suspense to horror. Vivek has also done packaging for several shows.

In addition, Vivek has also made two films: Sikander & Chocolate. Sikander was a bizarre action thriller based on the life of the infamous terrorist Carlos.  Chocolate was a unique crime and espionage thriller shot in Switzerland, France and Germany.

Vivek has just finished a music video for Asha Bhosle’s song, "Husn Ki Arzoo Ghazal," and is currently working on India’s first Reality show: P.O.W.  Shot with over 100 cameras on a set spread over two-hundred thousand sq. feet, P.O.W. is a complete technological breakthrough. Also, shooting for his first film in English, Friday Chicken, is scheduled to start in January 2002.

Vivek is a writer, director and editor. His shows have a eyes-have-never-seen kind of quality about them.  "I love to pamper my work... how you want to see your girlfriend looking best in the entire world... that's how I feel about every frame of my work."

2000 saw Vivek traveling the world, interacting, reading, researching and solidifying his team to ensure that his production house stays ahead of the competition.

Vivek is a visiting professor at IIMC and in his free time he writes, paints, and fights with his Dalmatian, Aperture.
